Our root beer today is brought to you by Avvo. Avvo is the cool way to find an attorney. It helps you find an attorney by rating attorneys and providing you with access to information to help you make the right decision. And, the people who run Avvo are some of my favorites! And they write a great blog!
Jones Root Beer is made by the Jones Soda Company. The Jones website has some great pictures of the labels of the root beer, but nothing about the root beer itself. And the label on the bottles I drank (yes, I drank several since I had so many) tells me a lot about Jones and a little about the soda. Actually, it tells me nothing except the ingredients and that I should recycle the bottle. That's my biggest negative!
My take: Good root beer. You can tell it is made with PCS (pure cane sugar). It has a very good flavor. Jones Root Beer does not taste like a mass marketed, mass produced root beer. Rather, it has a flavor like it was developed in the early 20th century with a recipe that continues today. Now, some people will tell you it is too sweet. And it is quite sweet, but I like sweet.
Score on a scale of 1 to 10: 8.5 cases of root beer.
